HCl and HNO₃ show acidic characteristics in aqueous solution while alcohol and glucose solutions do not. Give reasons.

As we know, HCl and HNO₃ produces H⁺ in aqueous solution. Hence, they show acidic character. Alcohol and glucose do not produce H⁺ in aqueous solution. Therefore, they do not show acidic character.
