Question

Two coils A and B are placed close to each other. If the current in the coil A is changed, will some current be induced in the coil B? Give a reason.
Medium

Solution

When the current in coil A is changed the magnetic field associated with it will also change. As a result, the magnetic field around coil B also changes. These changes in magnetic field lines around coil B induce an electric current. This is called electromagnetic induction.
