Question

Show how would you connect three resistors, each of resistance 6 ohm so that the combination has a resistance of 4Ω.
Medium

Solution

When we connect two resistors in series having a combined resistance R = 6 + 6 = 12 Ω. parallel with the third resistance of 6 ohm, the net resistance will be 1/ R = 1 / 12 + 1 / 6 =(1 + 2) / 12 = 3 /12 = 1/4 R = 4Ω.
