Fossil fuels requires millions of years to form. Dead vegetation and animals that get buried deep inside the earth require high temperature and pressure for the formation of fossil fuels. These procedures cannot be replicated in the lab. Thus, fossil fuels are limited. They must be used cautiously as they can get exhausted.
